Bell Labs performed dynamic tests on the Boykin Anchor Conpany's bolt in 3400 psi strength concrete using a 2% reinforcing rod and a 3/4 inch aggregate. During the testing, all the bolts had sufficient strength and dynamic resistance to restrain the network bay frame. Any of the bolts that were loosened during the testing were late retightened to their original torque value. The maximum deflection at the top of the frame was less than 3.0 inches relative to the base.

The only constant parts for any Boykin Anchor bolt are the expansion sleeve and the expansion cone. Any other part can be modified or left off to suit each specific application.
